Students enrolled in the Fall 2012 offering of CNS 337 Skills in Human Services with Professor Philip Clarke celebrated a semester of service learning with three local Retirement Communities. Throughout the semester, students spent time getting to know residents and staff of Arbor Acres, Brookridge, and Brookdale in Winston-Salem, NC. To conclude and celebrate the experience, these residents and staff came to Wake Forest’s campus for snacks, student and resident reflections, and a presentation of awards to community residents. Students shared what the experience taught them and what they will be taking with them as the experience and semester comes to a close.
