Dr. Sam Gladding makes a training video at ACA conference
October 25th, 2013
Alexander Street Press and the American Counseling Association (ACA) just released a video of Sam Gladding, chair and professor of counseling, conducting a 90-minute group counseling session before a live audience at last year’s ACA conference in Cincinnati. The video is titled “Promoting Growth within a Group: Performing in the Here and Now.” This is the sixth training video Gladding has made for ASP, and it will be available as part of the ASP streaming service in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library. You can access the library’s collection here: http://zsr.wfu.edu/
Gladding was assisted by four members of the Wake Forest counseling department: Jose Villalba, Nathaniel Ivers, Brian Calhoun, and Pamela Karr.
“I live in a great department with supportive and cooperative members,” Gladding said. “I am pleased with how the group demonstration went, how the film turned out, and with the wonderful behavior of my colleagues. There was no script, so everything was unrehearsed and ‘live.’”
