Denise Whetstone, an online student in our part-time Master’s of Counseling program, received an Honorable Mention in the Tomorrow’s Counselors Essay Competition sponsored by the American Counseling Association Foundation! She competed against both master’s and doctoral students from other accredited programs across the country, and was one of only 10 Honorable Mention recipients. As part of her award, she received a complimentary registration to the American Counseling Association 2018 Conference and Expo in Atlanta, Georgia.

The American Counseling Association is a not-for-profit, professional, and educational organization that was founded in 1952 and dedicated to the enhancement of the counseling profession. It is the world’s largest association exclusively representing professional counselors with more than 20 chartered divisions, 4 regions, and 56 chartered branches worldwide.
