Clinical Mental Health Program
Last year, there were 83 graduates of Wake Forest University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. Our graduates consistently achieve high pass rates on licensing examinations. The pass rate for graduates taking the NCE examination last year was 100%. Of the admitted students, 90% graduate from the program in the expected time period, and 91% of those program graduates responding to surveys who are actively seeking jobs are employed.
School Counseling Program
Last year, there were 22 graduates of Wake Forest University’s School Counseling program. Our graduates consistently achieve high pass rates on licensing examinations. The pass rate for graduates taking the NCE examination last year was 93%. The pass rate for graduates taking the Praxis exam (which is required for school licensure in NC) is 100%. Of the admitted students, 98% graduate from the program in the expected time period, and 91% of those program graduates responding to surveys who are actively seeking jobs are employed.
Additional Information
Approximately 30 students are enrolled in the on-campus program, with approximately 11 women and 4 men graduating each year. The Department accepts a maximum of 18 students each year, which includes three students who are completing a dual degree in Divinity and Counseling. 100% of accepted students graduate in the expected time period, which is two years.
As of May 2019, approximately 267 students were enrolled in our online programs. The online program is a part-time only program and students are expected to graduate in three years.
