2025 PROGRAM OUTCOMES REPORT

Clinical Mental Health Program

Last year, there were 143 graduates of Wake Forest University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Program. At the end of the 2025 academic year, the pass rate for both modalities of our CMHC graduates taking the NCE examination was 99%, exceeding our program benchmark of 90%. 

Of the admitted students for the online program, 87% of students graduated in the expected time period, exceeding our benchmark of 75%. Of the admitted students for the on-campus program, 100% of students graduated in the expected time period, exceeding our benchmark of 75%.

Regarding employment, 88% of our online program graduates who responded to our survey reported that they were actively seeking jobs or were employed, exceeding our program benchmark of 80%. 83% of our on-campus program graduates who responded to our survey reported that they are employed or actively seeking employment, exceeding our program benchmark of 80%. 

School Counseling Program

Last year, there were 10 graduates of Wake Forest University’s School Counseling program. At the end of the 2025 academic year, the pass rate for our online graduates taking the NCE examination last year was 100%, exceeding our program benchmark of 90%. We did not have any on-campus students report taking the NCE. The pass rate for graduates taking the School Counseling Praxis exam (which is required for school licensure in NC) was 100% for our on-campus students, meeting our program benchmark of 100, and 100% for our online students, meeting our program benchmark of 100%. 

Of the admitted students for the online program, 83% of students graduated in the expected time period, exceeding our benchmark of 75%. Of the admitted students for the on-campus program, 100% of students graduated in the expected time period, exceeding our benchmark of 75%.

Based on departmental research, we can verify that 80% of our online program graduates are employed or actively seeking employment, exceeding our program benchmark of 70%. 100% of our on-campus program graduates are employed or actively seeking employment, exceeding our program benchmark of 70%.

Additional Information

Approximately 31 students are enrolled in the campus program, with approximately 11 women and 4 men graduating each year. The Department accepts a maximum of 18 students each year, which includes up to three students who are completing a dual degree in Divinity and Counseling. 100% of accepted students graduated in the expected time period, which is two years. 

As of August 2025, approximately 344 students were enrolled in our online program. The online program is part-time only, and students are expected to graduate in three years.
