Accessibility at Wake Forest University

Each year at Wake Forest, the Accessible Content Working Group and Information Systems (IS) Technology Accessibility Team offer a workshop called ‘Extreme Makeover: PDF Edition’. This workshop assists departments with making their websites, and the PDFs available on them, more accessible to those using assistive technologies.

During the final weeks of the fall semester, our Academic Coordinator, Meredith Parker, attended this workshop and dedicated many hours to improving our website’s accessibility by removing or planning to reformat or remediate over 190 pdfs.

The work is not yet complete, but the Department of Counseling is committed to improving our site’s accessibility.
