NCCDA Pipeline
NCCDA Pipeline is designed for graduate students and newer career professionals in North Carolina who are pursuing career-related studies or have five or fewer years of professional career services experience. The program provides an opportunity to grow as an emerging leader, strengthen the skills and confidence needed to take on organizational leadership roles, and develop the relationships and experience needed to contribute meaningfully to NCCDA and the career development profession.
Participation is a two-year commitment to NCCDA. The program begins with six participants engaging in a nine-month experience during the first year, meeting monthly beginning in mid-October. Through peer discussions, leadership panels, and conversations with NCCDA committee chairs and experienced leaders, participants will gain insight into organizational leadership and have opportunities to put their developing skills into practice. A key part of the first year will be hands-on service on the NCCDA Conference Committee, providing an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to an NCCDA initiative.
In the second year, participants will continue their involvement as members of the Executive Board, serving on an NCCDA committee of their choice. This next step provides an opportunity to build on the first-year experience, deepen leadership skills, and contribute more broadly to NCCDA.
