RISE Model (Reframe, Integrate, Strengthen, Establish) Training
Join us for a special virtual training on the RISE Model (Reframe, Integrate, Strengthen, Establish)—a culturally adapted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework designed to help mental health professionals effectively address sociopolitical stress in counseling.
The RISE Model integrates evidence-based CBT strategies with culturally affirming and self-affirmation practices to support clients navigating the psychological impact of today’s social and political climate. While the framework was developed with the experiences of Black and Brown communities in mind, the skills are broadly applicable to culturally responsive clinical practice.
During this interactive training, participants will:
* Learn the four components of the RISE Model: Reframe, Integrate, Strengthen, and Establish.
* Develop practical, culturally responsive counseling skills for addressing sociopolitical stress.
* Explore evidence-informed strategies that can be immediately apply in clinical settings.
The training is open to licensed mental health professionals and master’s- and doctoral-level mental health trainees.
Following the training, attendees will have the optional opportunity to participate in a research study evaluating the training. Participation in the research component is entirely voluntary and is not required to attend the training.
We hope you’ll join us as we work together to advance culturally responsive mental health care and equip clinicians with practical tools for supporting clients in today’s complex social and political landscape.
