Dr. Nathaniel IversDr. Nathaniel Ivers, Associate Department Chair and Assistant Professor in the Wake Forest University Department of Counseling,  was recently invited to be a keynote speaker at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.   Miami University hosted Dr. Ivers as part of their week-long celebration of International Education Week.  The topic of his speech was  ‘Living in Limbo, with Fear, and in the Shadows–Understanding and Supporting Undocumented Immigrants.’   

Dr. Ivers’ professional interests include bilingual counseling, cultures, terror management theory, existentialism, and wellness. 

Other events during the week at Miami University included professional opportunities to network and learn about study abroad programs, the Global Neighbors Friendship Program, and a reception to announce the winners of a travel writing contest.
