Racial trauma and trauma-informed practices in rural communities; Creative arts in counseling; Rural school counselor professional identity and practice; Mental health service provision in school settings

Counseling Experience:
I have worked as a professional school counselor in high school settings in suburban and rural communities, as well as served as a Co-Director of Student Support Services. I have done consultation work with school counselors, K-12, in urban and rural school districts.

Personal:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to podcasts, and watching sporting events. I am Tar Heel born, not only by educational affiliation, but even more so because I hail from the great state of North Carolina. I love to travel, but I am always excited to return home.
